Role SummaryThe Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is responsible for managing and improving the quality performance of assigned suppliers across the North America region (USA). This role ensures supplier compliance with engineering drawings, specifications, and quality requirements through supplier qualification, audits, inspections, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. The SQE serves as the primary technical quality interface between suppliers, engineering, sourcing, and manufacturing teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesManage supplier qualification and onboarding, including quality and compliance audits.
Own product and manufacturing process qualifications, ensuring timely closure.
Monitor supplier quality performance metrics and lead improvement plans.
Conduct surveillance audits, inspections, FATs, COPs, and third-party lab witnessing.
Support serial production readiness and product release activities.
Manage supplier non-conformances (NCRs), deviations (SDRs), service notices, and warranty recoveries.
Perform root cause analysis and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions.
Collect and analyze CTQ data; drive process capability and continuous improvement initiatives.
Own SRG metrics and conduct supplier audits per regional plans.
Provide technical guidance to suppliers to ensure compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sourcing, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
Provide quality input during design reviews and supplier development activities.
QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
8–12 years of experience in electrical/electronics engineering, quality, or manufacturing, including PCBAs, wire harnesses, control cabinets, sensors, and related components.
Minimum 3 years of supplier quality or supply chain experience.
Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and international standards.
Proven experience in PCBA quality evaluation and wiring/schematic interpretation.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
Pay Details: $45.00 to $53.00 per hour
