This role supports the resolution of quality issues related to purchased parts and materials identified at the manufacturing facility. Acting as a key interface between the plant, suppliers, and procurement functions, the position leads initial quality issue investigations, defines and implements Interim Corrective Actions (ICA), and ensures timely application to production to minimize manufacturing impact.
While positioned within the Supplier Development Engineer framework, the role operates with a strong Procurement Quality Engineer focus, emphasizing rapid response, containment, corrective action, and coordination to ensure stable production and supply continuity.
In addition, this role collaborates closely with Supply Chain Performance Engineers to support Supplier BIQ (Built-in Quality) and Capacity Planning related activities, contributing to overall supply chain performance and operational stability.

**JOB DUTIES**
Major Role:
This position supports procurement-related quality issue resolution at the manufacturing facility, with a strong focus on early containment, root cause investigation, and coordination of corrective actions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Lead initial investigation of quality issues identified at the manufacturing facility
- Define, align, and implement Interim Corrective Actions (ICA) with suppliers and plant stakeholders
- Ensure corrective actions are effectively applied to production to prevent recurrence
- Support supplier quality improvement initiatives focused on short-term stabilization
- Conduct supplier assessments, audits, inspections, and corrective action follow-up
- Maintain quality records, reports, and documentation related to supplier quality issues
- Collaborate with Supply Chain Performance Engineers to support Supplier BIQ and Capacity Planning activities
- Support continuous improvement of procurement quality processes and standards
**Leadership**
Provide operational leadership in supplier quality issue resolution and corrective action execution. Demonstrate ownership and accountability in cross-functional coordination across manufacturing, procurement, supply chain, and suppliers. Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement quality and supplier performance.
**Strategy**
Apply structured problem-solving methodologies, data analysis, and quality management tools to drive effective containment and corrective action decisions. Support alignment of quality actions with overall supply chain performance objectives.
**Customers**
Primary internal customers include manufacturing facilities, procurement teams, supply chain performance teams, and engineering organizations.
**Supplier Development**
Support supplier quality stabilization and corrective action activities in coordination with Supplier Development Engineers and Procurement teams, with emphasis on issue resolution and performance recovery.
**Travel**
Travel may be required based on supplier and manufacturing facility needs.
**Skills**
- Supplier quality and procurement quality management knowledge
- Experience supporting manufacturing quality issue resolution and corrective actions
- Understanding of supplier audits, inspections, and process controls
- Ability to collaborate across manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain functions
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with BIQ concepts and capacity planning support activities
- University/college degree or equivalent experience preferred
This position requires working onsite five days a week.
