An opportunity has arisen for a Reservation Supervisor to join Reservations Team at Jumeirah Messilah Beach. The main duties and responsibilities of this role are:
JOB DETAILS:
+ To handle all types of guests, enquires/ reservations received through phone, extranet and e-mail.
+ To be fully aware of the day-to-day results including Business on the books for the month, average suite rate and comparison with budget and forecast.
+ To communicate the daily figures, forecast business on the books to the reservations team and push the sales agents to fill the need periods based on the selling strategies set by the revenue director.
+ To maintain high levels of selling and up-selling techniques in order to maximize the hotel’s overall revenue by applying the right product to the right customer at the right time.
+ To train the front-line sales agents on the telephone and phone selling techniques to achieve a minimum of 95% guest satisfaction and 90% on the monthly test calls done for the department.
+ To ensure accuracy in the reservation details going into the PMS on her/his shift.
+ To audit all transactions made by the Reservation Sales Agents in order to reduce any possible guest disappointments.
+ To arrange for the team handover and ensure that all necessary information and strategies are communicated to all colleagues in the shift.
+ To ensure all traces are handled and taken care of by the sales agents during her/his shift.
+ To ensure that all activities adhere to and support the Jumeirah Quality Management System.
+ To help the Reservation Manager in order to ensure the smooth and efficient daily operation of the reservation office, ensuring everyone contacting the Reservations Department receives an optimum level of services and care at all times.
+ To monitor incoming calls and staff attitude over the phone.
+ To report technical challenges/ access workload/ demand changes to the attention of the manager and revenue director in order to take the necessary actions.
+ To maintain a special file for all current promotions and update the same on a monthly basis.
+ To ensure that Pro-forma invoices are done on time and followed up on payment prior to guest arrival.
+ To monitor any extra allocation of rooms confirmed over the Peak Periods as per the selling strategies and yield planner.
+ To supervise and follow up on all non-guaranteed bookings one day prior to guest arrival to reduce loss of revenue and ensure accurate forecasting.
+ To ensure that all reservations made yesterday are checked on a daily basis
+ To ensure that the Reservations team is aware of all promotional rates and packages.
+ To advise the Revenue Manger/ Director of Rooms of any TOP VIP reservations in the next 7 days.
About you:
+ At least 2 years' experience in same role in 5* properties.
+ Working with a culturally diverse workforce.
+ Proficiency in spoken and written business English.
+ Able to effectively communicate with all levels of colleague and management.
+ Opera system knowledge
+ Bilingual (Arabic & English)
