Job Responsibilities and Duties:\n

At Sibanye-Stillwater, the Engineering - Supervisor of Projects is responsible for the management of other engineers and processes within their department. The Engineering Supervisor plays a key role at the MT PGM Operations in integrating technical duties within the larger organization. \n\nCoordinates resources and efforts to complement all areas in realizing overall mine goals.\nFoster cooperation, collaboration, and innovation to ensure that realistic production and development goals are being set and met, while also ensuring that resource value is being maximized.\nLead team to maximum mine operations through safely optimizing mine systems, planning, and procedures.\nOversee a working group and take appropriate action in supporting a positive and inclusive work environment as well as professionally addressing behaviors that don't align with Sibanye-Stillwater's core values.\nAbility to perform complex technical tasks specific to the role while leading direct reports. \nDemonstrate positive two-way verbal and written communication.\nDevelop and manage balanced work groups, allocating and sharing resources.\nManage the project engineering group in the design, evaluation, and implementation of strategic options and\/or process improvements through the application of engineering principles. \nWork effectively and collaborate with other technical services and operations personnel.\nWork with operations to overcome any forecasted bottlenecks.\nAssist with projects ranging from simple to complex and encompassing all facets of the operation.\nSupport the Projects Engineering on plan compilation, data verification, and reporting as well as support and maintain standardized practices and procedures for engineering. \nPerform Technical Assurance reviews as needed. \nQA\/QC of project engineering deliverables including plans, designs, proposals, etc. \nUnderstand and budget for future production goals factoring in all infrastructure associated with achieving set goals.\nOther tasks as required.\n\n

Qualifications and Skills:\n

Required:\n\nWell-developed verbal and written communication skills.\nProven ability to work autonomously, as well as within a team-based environment.\nIntermediate to advance understanding of MSHA regulations.\nStrong understanding of rock project principles, practice, and software.\nProven project planning and scheduling experience.\nFamiliarity with cost reporting and cost tracking analysis.\nStrong computer skills in AutoCAD, Excel, and Word.\n\n

Preferred:\n\nWorking knowledge and understanding of UG mine operations.\nPrevious supervisory experience\n\n

Education and Experience:\n\nBS in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or equivalent, with a minimum of 6 years of mine engineering experience.\n\n
