Ophthalmic Care Supervisor – Lead with Vision

Are you a skilled nurse with a passion for surgical care and a knack for leading teams? UHSC is looking for an experienced Ophthalmic Care Supervisor to guide our dedicated nursing staff and support team in ophthalmology surgery and other surgical services.

This role is all about leadership, collaboration, and top-tier patient care. You'll work closely with surgeons and hospital leadership to ensure seamless operations in the OR, while also playing a hands-on role in caring for patients with a wide range of health needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise nursing and support staff in ophthalmology and surgical services.

Coordinate daily workflows and staff duties in collaboration with surgeons and leadership.

Provide patient-centered care for individuals with acute, chronic, or terminal conditions.

Conduct patient assessments based on surgery type and care needs.

Use the nursing process to plan, deliver, delegate, and evaluate care in the OR.

Step in with operational support whenever and wherever needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Current RN license in the State of Missouri

At least 2 years of ophthalmic surgery experience

Proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate teams

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Nursing or related field
