Night Shift: 5:30pm - 6:30am\n

Job Responsibilities and Duties:\n
Proactively lead a mechanical crew in alignment with SMC'S supervisory principles (guide, educate, and train). Lead and participate in safety meetings, safety inspections, ensure that equipment used is in safe working condition, and monitor compliance with established company safety policies. Assist in employee development and skills training. Collaborate and communicate with other departments to build and maintain teamwork that accomplishes our goals in a safe and efficient manner. Assist in the interview process and make recommendations for hiring. Maintain costs within budget.\n
Qualifications and Skills:\n
Required:\n\nWorking knowledge of applicable MSHA rules and regulations.\nLeadership qualities including character, teamwork, communication, business sense, and vision.\nBasic understanding of high and low voltage electricity.\nBasic understanding of welding processes.\nAbility to use related O.E.M. manuals.\nUnderstand, support, and maintain compliance of SMC's DPM program.\nUnderstand, support and maintain compliance of SMC's Noise exposure reduction plan.\nComputer skills plus the ability to learn and utilize Company authorized software.\n\n
Preferred:\n\nWorking knowledge of underground mining with 2 to 5 years underground maintenance supervisory experience\n\n
Education & Experience\n\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\nSpecialized training on mechanical systems and 3 to 5 years related experience or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, hydraulics or related field\n\n
