We are looking for people oriented, driven to results and problem-solving professionals to join as Supervisor, Settlement Accounting Operations in Western Union.
Role Responsibilities
This position has the responsibility over operational results and people management along with meeting targets, reporting results, and metrics to management level. Oversee the operational accounting for sub-ledger and general ledger reconciliation, sub-ledger investigations, cash reconciliation, AR reconciliations, month end close, along with other operational settlement processes. Handle escalations, root cause analysis, foster improvement initiatives and processes standardization. Assure all internal controls are in place and properly met to deliver high quality. Ensure compliance and expectations of all metrics established within the operation. Represents the function in settlement accounting operations related projects / initiatives and acts as a liaison between business operations, support departments such as Finance, Product, Technical teams, and developers. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly structured, deadline-driven environment. Manage administrative tasks required within the role.Role Requirements
4+ years of people management experience. 7+ years of work experience in general ledger accounting, sub-ledger reconciliation, accounts receivable, accounting operations and finance roles. Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economy, business Administration, or related areas. Demonstrated strength in interpersonal communications, critical thinking. Proven ability to solve problem problems, identify key issues and root causes, as well as the proposed solution. Comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly structured, deadline-driven environment Fluent English is required. Strong accounting knowledge. Being analytically minded as well as customer focused.
