ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Oversee daily sanitation operations in all areas, constantly monitoring efficiency while searching for methods to improve overall performance.  Trouble shoot concerns in all areas of responsibility, identify and implement necessary and appropriate corrective measures.Manage and oversee facilities CIP systems, Quad X Pro system, PDU systems, tool vending machines and janitorial staff.Participate in plant audits (SQF, Regulatory, Sanitation, Customer, etc)Routinely audit sanitation in all departments and communicate deficiencies to shift supervisor & manager.Conduct PPE and chemical training with new hires or employee transfers.Monitor swab tighten list, ATP program, air quality, environmental swabs and work with cross functional teams to correct deficiencies.Manage & report sanitation KPIs (Key Performance Indicators).  Communicate and direct corrective actions to meet targets.Develop and maintain strong working relationships with chemical vendors and suppliers.Communicate effectively with plant and company personnel, departments, Operations, Quality, Environmental and other internal and external teams to ensure smooth operation of the process.Supervision and training for employees and management regarding sanitation activities for each area.  Provide awareness training on new chemicals, processes and handling procedures introduced for all appropriate personnel.Maintain, revise and monitor the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS), which includes daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cleaning items/entries.  Develop Sanitation Standard Operational procedures (SSOP) according to Good Manufacturing practices (GMP) and FDA regulations for all sanitation tasks.Monitor all employees as to their adherence to GMPs, cleanliness, sanitation, and pest control, and report noncompliance to management.Ensure optimization of chemical usage by managing and maintaining chemical inventory, ordering and usage.Complete all necessary plant safety and quality trainings assigned by manager.Promote safety programs and policies to reduce employee accidents and injuries by providing safety training and enforcing safety practices.Maintain all pertinent records, charts, reports, and other paperwork as needed partnered with production and maintenance resources to meet plant objectives.Ensure job orders and work requests are completed.Responsible for meeting or exceeding all established quality standards. Assist Quality team as required.Perform miscellaneous duties and responsibilities required by Manager.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Dairy Technology, Business Administration or Operations Management or related field preferred.Minimum of a two-years of related experience within Dairy, Food, and/or Beverage, or a similar post-secondary school, or minimum of 5 years of food manufacturing experience specializing in leading sanitation.Good organizational, mechanical aptitude, problem solving, decision making and technical skills.Strong knowledge of and experience with CIP systems.Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.Good computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Company MRP system.Ability to lead, influence and inspire people, and promote quality, safety and teamwork.Above average math skills for chemical control.Strong communication and analytical skills.Able to work independently with attention to detail.Ability to work in a team environment and to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.Values that align with the Saputo Culture: Respect, Teamwork, Openness, Ownership, Commitment, Integrity and Passion
