Job DescriptionThe purpose of this job is to provide front line support for day-to-day mailroom activities.
In this role you will:
Supervise and direction and support to mailroom team; coordinate and deliver all incoming, outgoing, intercampus mail; direct last-minute requestsManage and create overnight shipping accounts (EDI); work directly with our FedEx Account Manager to resolve discrepanciesMaintain departmental post office boxes, permits, and expense records; reconcile transactions for shipping, handling, and supplyReconcile overnight shipping and postal service discrepancies allocated to travel centers; perform chargebacksResolve shipping or postal discrepancies for campus personnel and vendors; ensure incorrect or undeliverable mail is returned or revisedProvide assistance and recommendations to team members for postal service options, comparative costs, and delivery methodsPerform periodic inventory reconciliation of supply items and postageCreate shipping accounts for all corporate offices, regional managers, and travel centers; reconcile incorrect parcel shipmentsMaintain a training program for all suspicious packaging and reporting methodsProvide pickup, delivery, and personal courier services for the executive staff; set up meeting spaces for training and special eventsEstablish a point-of-contact and location for incoming and outgoing mail for all departmentsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredValid Tennessee state driver’s license requiredMinimum three years’ mailroom experience requiredIntermediate Microsoft Office skillsProficient in mathematical calculationsFedEx Ship ManagerExcellent written and verbal communication skillsCustomer service orientedAbility to collaborate and work as a member of a teamStrong attention to detailAbility to work in heavily populated areas during normal work hoursAbility to multitaskStrong organizational skillsAbility to direct team member activitiesLift and move 50 poundsAbility to load and unload vehiclesExposure to inclement weatherAdditional Information• Nation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/Vision
