**Faculty Practice Plan Services** has an outstanding opportunity for an **Insurance Follow-up Supervisor** .
**WORK SCHEDULE**

**POSITION SUMMARY**
Responsible for the supervisory of the Patient Account Representative 3 staff, overseeing Transplant, Donor, Budget Billing, and other special billing that is outside of the PAR 2 responsibilities. Is responsible for monitoring follow-up WQs, aging AR, productivity, schedules/Kronos, workflows and desk level procedures, and escalation of payer issues. Is responsible for attending meetings with internal and external customers. Is responsible for the performance of staff and annual reviews.
**PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES**
+ Through the use of appropriate accounts receivable reports, direct and supervise the activities of the Insurance Follow-up Specialists and Clerical Staff. Provide employees with daily feedback on quality, quantity, and focus of work. Maintain production statistics to determine monthly performance of staff.
+ Work closely with the Department Administrators and Physicians on issues pertaining to the condition of their accounts receivable. Maintain the overall accounts receivable within the budgeted targets for days, percentage of AR over 120 days, and cash.
+ Develop and revise workflows for staff. Assist the Insurance Follow-Up Manager with the development and implementation of new or revised procedures and instruction with appropriate employees. Assist in overall department planning and decision-making.
+ Interview and hire employees. Work with training staff for general level training. Provide job specific training to staff when needed. Identify problems and provide counseling and training when needed. Prepare and provide employee performance evaluations and keep Manager apprised. Advise the Manager when performing personnel actions.
+ Direct submission of all claims to payers in a timely manner utilizing all methods of submission.
+ Maintain, for assigned payers, billing publications on billing policies and required procedures.
+ Prepare and coordinate monthly staff meetings. Maintain meeting minutes.
+ Interpret policy as it pertains to requests for information. Effectively resolve problems and disputes and recommend administrative course of action to the Manager. Follow through with appropriate disposition of the inquiry.
+ Support staff training and quality: o Ensure staff under direct supervision are trained in a timely manner.
+ Manage and facilitate the release of staff to attend learning events.
+ Provide constructive feedback regarding performance on a continuous basis.
+ Evaluate staff’s quality assurance audit results and work collaboratively with training department to identify and/or design instructional resources to improve performance.
**REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High school diploma or equivalent **AND** Certified as a Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist – Physician Based (CCS-P), Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Inpatient Coder (CIC), Certified Outpatient Coder (COC), Certified Interventional Radiology Cardiovascular Coder (CIRCC), Radiology Certified Coder (RCC) or Radiation Oncology Certified Coder (ROCC) **AND** Four years coding experience or equivalent education/experience **AND** Two years lead or supervisory experience.
+ Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration
