Supervisor, Imaging - Radiology Administration - Full Time
Position Summary: Assists the Director in directing the Imaging, Cardiovascular, Pulmonary, and Neuroscience Departmental activities. Responsible for the day‐to ‐day operations of the departments. Staff scheduling, time and attendance, and Payroll. Monitors QA program. Assists in the evaluations and selection of staff. Reviews and update competencies. Performs performance reviews. Reviews and updates procedures, monitor supply costs. Ensures the operating systems within the department are functional to ensure optimize workflow. Assist with development of the departmental team to meet the regulation and standards of excellence. Education, License & Cert: 1. High school graduate or equivalent. 2. Graduate of a 2 or a 4 year Radiologic Technology program approved by the JRCERT OR recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Certified Respiratory Therapist and should possess a minimum of a BS degree. 3. NY state credentials in relevant modality or RDMS which is equivalent to NY state credentials. Experience: 1. Two years of experience in relevant clinical area. 2. Previous leadership experience preferred. Essential Functions: Ensures operating systems such as EPIC, PACS, the network, etc. are operational to ensure optimal performance of the department. Development and review of policies, procedures, protocols, and pathways as appropriate. Utilization review. Demonstrates appropriate problem solving and decision‐making skills, referring staff to appropriate resources as necessary. Promotes a healthy working environment through effective communication, conflict resolution, and staff empowerment. Promotes and ensures the delivery of quality patient care through competency‐based assignments and supervision of staff. Assumes support role in orientation and oversight of staff competencies. Coordinates education offerings to assist in maintaining competency. Recognize areas for performance improvement and responsible for assigned activities in the departmental performance improvement process. Encourages, maintains, and teaches excellent and quality customer relations. Assist the Director in development of the team to ensure growth and continued customer satisfaction. Collaborates with staff, Directors, managers, physicians and other service lines to implement new and improve existing processes. Coordinates staff scheduling and monitors time and attendance. Oversees the payroll. Assists in evaluations and selection of staff, reviews, and updates competencies. Ensures all rules and regulations from Joint Commission, NYSDOH, FDA, NCR are routinely followed. Assists with the strategic planning for departmental services. Oversite of departmental revenue process, pre‐authorization, reconciliation of charges.
