As a Field Services Supervisor at Spectrum, you will oversee installation and service operations from the node to the home, ensuring every aspect meets our technical standards and safety protocols. Lead a team dedicated to delivering superior craftsmanship and performance, making a measurable difference in the experience our customers receive.
How You’ll Make an Impact
Supervise installation and service operations to meet customer and technical standardsCoordinate training, mentor team members, and conduct performance evaluations to drive productivity and safetyConduct quality control checks and field safety observations to ensure compliance with Spectrum standardsResolve and proactively prevent escalated customer issues through effective problem-solvingFacilitate communication and cooperation with internal teams and service partners to support operational excellenceEnsure team members maintain necessary company-issued tools and equipmentMaintain records and documentation according to Spectrum’s policiesWorking Conditions
Work indoors in confined spaces and poorly ventilated areas, including attics during extreme temperaturesExposure to dust, noise, insects, pets and cleaning solutionsPerform duties in commercial, factory and outdoor environments, sometimes near power lines and electricityTravel in inclement weather and work at various heights above ground on telephone and power polesSome out-of-town and overnight travel required based on business needsOccasional overtime, weekend or second shift work as neededSome tasks performed in an office settin
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO SPECTRUM
Required Qualifications
Education:
Associates degree in electronics or related field, or equivalent work experienceIndustry and vendor specific certifications and training, such as NCTI, SCTE, BCT/EExperience:
5+ years of field technician work experienceSupervisory experience in a technical environment or equivalent work experienceExperience with complex cabling jobs, including installation of Cat5/Cat6 cablingExperience programming and installing routers, Internet gateway services, Layer2/3 Ethernet switches, and wireless access points in commercial environmentsSkills:
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand EnglishEffective communication skills with employees, customers, and suppliersAdvanced understanding of TCP/IP stack and network designAbility to use software tools, computer applications, and test equipmentKnowledge of basic network devices and appliancesAbility to safely use weight-bearing equipmentValid driver’s license with satisfactory driving recordPreferred Qualifications
