Supervisor, Engineering - Overhead Transmission Line Design
**Position Overview** **Power your future with Qualus** in our Transmission Line Engineering Department as an Engineering Supervisor of Overhead Transmission Line Design. The role will be responsible for implementing best engineering methods, pursuing business development opportunities and maintaining good relationships with internal and external stakeholders. **Responsibilities** + Providing technical guidance and management to engineering team + Supporting established organization objectives by developing goals and strategies,and overseeing group financials. + Oversee technical performance of team while ensuring QA/QC execution and tracking + Set best practice engineering methods and adherence tracking, specific to clients served + Establish and maintain training program and continued development + Maintain knowledge of developments in industry codes and regulations + Ensure continuous improvement in process and cost-efficiency + Maintain existing relationships and seek new opportunities in existing contracts + Build new relationships within existing clients + Support organizational growth objectives + Manage project scopes, budgets, and schedules + Oversee proposal writing and/or coordination + Ensure timesheet approvals + Responsible for invoicing review and approval, as well as time and material backlog statusing + Ensure project execution within terms and conditions of contract, including required response times, social media postings, PO limits, and labor classifications **Qualifications** + Ideal candidates will possess a broad, extensive, and deep understanding of both engineering principles and management practices and demonstrate the ability to apply that knowledge and experience to all aspects of operations. + 7-10+ years of overhead transmission line design experience + BS in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field from an ABET accredited school. An international engineering degree will be considered. Master’s degree in engineering management or MBA is a plus. + Experienced in engineering design for service line, including Power Line Systems (PLS) suite of programs + Advanced knowledge of other applicable design software + Advanced knowledge of engineering principles and practices, including computer applications + Extensive knowledge of field techniques for construction + Extensive knowledge of safe working practices + Extensive knowledge of project management practices and financials + Extensive client relationships and professional network within industry + Action-mindset; having the ability to move from thinking about something to doing it + Team player: Accomplish tasks by working with others and recognizing how his/her decisions may impact the team and have a willingness to seek input from others + Time Management: Have the ability to successfully plan and accomplish tasks within an established timeline + Computer proficiency in operating a personal computer and standard business office applications including Microsoft Office, Microsoft Dynamics 365, and other related applications.
