Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Supervisor, Emergency Med Svcs - Part Time Flex Nights & weekends.
In this role, the successful candidate The Supervisor of Ambulance Services reports to the Director of Ambulance Services and supervises, coordinates and directs all aspects of the Ambulance Department. Is responsible for supervising approximately 200 EMTs and Paramedics. The Supervisor is responsible for preparing the monthly department schedule, shift coverage, payroll and time keeping functions, overseeing the vehicle maintenance program, insuring that vehicles comply with the New York State Emergency Medical Service Code (Part 800).
Job Responsibilities:
The Supervisor is responsible for: ordering and maintaining adequate stock and supply levels, training and evaluating employee competencies on new equipment and procedures, insuring compliance with FDNY contract, NYULMC policy and procedures, FDNY 911 providers guide and NYU-LMC EMS Department guidelines.Retrieves ACRs from storage for subpoenas and medical record request, educates staff on new NYULMC, NYS, NYC policies and procedures related to EMS as well as protocol compliance, system management for e-PCRs. e-PCRs reconciliation for billing and coding, works with Emergency Department staff and other departments as a liaison for EMS related issues.The Supervisor is responsible for Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement activities, plans and schedules training and CME for Department Personnel, prepares monthly performance statistics for department, tracking patients and verifying admission status, separates and reviews e-PCR documentation, instructing personnel in the proper format and correcting any deficiencies.Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify you must have a Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience required
New York State Department of Health EMT-P certification
NYC REMAC Paramedic certification
Drivers license valid in New York State
FDNY 911 authorization
NYS CLI preferred.
Required Licenses: Paramedic, Driver's License
