About the RoleAs the Superintendent, you will be the on‑site leader responsible for driving daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule and quality, and representing the company professionally with clients, architects, and partners. You will manage field execution on commercial projects ranging from one to ten million dollars, including ground‑up work.
Key ResponsibilitiesField Leadership and CoordinationOversee all daily jobsite operations including subcontractor supervision, labor coordination, and field personnel management.Develop and communicate detailed three‑week look‑ahead schedules to ensure smooth workflow and efficient trade coordination.Conduct daily site walks to assess progress, verify adherence to drawings and specifications, and proactively identify and resolve issues.Lead daily huddles and weekly coordination meetings with onsite teams and trade partners.Safety ManagementEnforce company safety standards and OSHA regulations.Conduct site orientations, toolbox talks, and regular safety inspections.Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard‑free jobsite.Quality ControlInterpret and verify blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate execution.Inspect work for quality compliance and address deficiencies promptly with trade partners.Communication and DocumentationServe as the primary onsite point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.Maintain accurate daily logs, manpower reports, safety documentation, and site photos.Project Execution and Problem SolvingAnticipate and resolve sequencing issues, material delays, site conflicts, and constructability challenges.Support procurement coordination for materials, equipment, and long‑lead items.Maintain project progress to meet schedule and budget expectations.Required Skills and ExperienceExperience as a Superintendent or Assistant Superintendent on commercial construction projects.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documents.Strong scheduling experience, including building and maintaining three‑week look‑ahead schedules.Proficient with Procore.Strong communication skills with subcontractors, internal teams, and clients.Experience with commercial ground‑up projects between one and ten million dollars.Nice‑to‑Have SkillsExperience using Bluebeam or MS Project.Background in private commercial work.Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or related field.Work EnvironmentThis is an onsite field‑based role with upcoming projects located in New Haven, Hartford, Farmington, and Middletown. Project placement will depend on experience and ongoing workload needs.
