Job Title: SuperintendentJob Description The Superintendent position serves as the first point of contact in the field. This role involves maintaining the production schedule and ensuring the proper sequencing of construction activities so that subcontractors can operate profitably and efficiently. The Superintendent also manages on-site assigned personnel, fostering a positive work environment for professional growth. Additionally, the Superintendent reports to Project Managers regarding project progress and is adept at reading, understanding, and interpreting plans, specifications, shop drawings, contracts, and other documents. Responsibilities + Maintain and oversee the production schedule on-site. + Ensure proper sequencing of construction activities. + Manage assigned on-site personnel and provide a positive work environment. + Report project progress to Project Managers. + Read, understand, and interpret plans, specifications, and contracts. Essential Skills + Proficiency in healthcare construction and general contracting. + Experience in managing construction projects from conception to completion. + Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. + Experience as a Superintendent or Site Manager in healthcare facilities. Additional Skills & Qualifications + AEC degree with 4+ years of experience, or 7+ years of construction experience without a degree. + 2+ years of experience in healthcare facilities. Work Environment This position requires on-site presence, specifically in hospitals and healthcare-related facilities. The focus is exclusively on healthcare construction projects, providing a specialized and challenging work environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $110000.00 - $120000.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
