Job Description
We are seeking a Construction Superintendent to provide on‑site oversight for a single Postal Service facility in Belmar, NJ. The project centers on EV power upgrades, with related scopes including lighting, painting, epoxy flooring/coating, and comprehensive documentation and communication. The Superintendent will coordinate daily field activities, supervise and hold contractors accountable to quality, safety, schedule, and budget, and serve as the primary on‑site liaison to project managers and technical staff.

Skills and Requirements
Field Leadership & Oversight
Lead all day‑to‑day site operations for a single job site; maintain an organized, safe, and productive work environment.
Oversee subcontractors performing electrical power upgrades, lighting improvements, painting, and epoxy work.
Verify manpower, materials, and equipment are available to meet milestones; escalate risks early.
Quality, Safety, and Compliance
Enforce site safety plans, conduct daily safety huddles/JSAs, and ensure OSHA and site‑specific requirements are met.
Inspect in‑progress and completed work for compliance with drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
Coordinate and witness inspections, testing, and commissioning as required for EV power systems and associated work.
Schedule & Coordination
Create and maintain look‑ahead schedules; sequence trades to minimize disruption to Postal Service operations.
Coordinate utility shutdowns/lockouts, deliveries, permits, and access.
Track progress against milestones; drive recovery actions when needed.
Documentation & Communication
Maintain detailed daily reports (labor, equipment, quantities, deliveries, safety notes, photos).
Manage RFIs, field directives, redlines/as‑builts, and closeout documentation.
Provide clear, timely updates to Project Managers and Technical Staff (“one and done” delivery model) and serve as the single point of contact on site.
