We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead and oversee craft workers in specific areas of responsibility. This role requires effective resource management and leadership to ensure project success and compliance with all procedures and safety requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Effectively use all resources and lead/oversee craft workers assigned to specific areas of responsibility.
+ Ensure all onsite personnel comply with project procedures, safety program requirements, and work rules. Document all violations, notify project management, and recommend and implement corrective actions as required.
+ Conduct accident investigations as needed.
+ Ensure compliance with all company, client, and project policies, procedures, and standards.
+ Motivate others to achieve objectives and plan, coordinate, and supervise onsite functions such as scheduling, engineering, and material control.
+ Plan and organize the work for which you are responsible effectively.
+ Maintain a daily job journal detailing actual events.
+ Plan ahead for materials, tools, and information.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in construction, particularly in electrical construction.
+ Project management skills.
+ Proven leadership abilities as a superintendent or foreman.
+ Over 5 years of superintendent experience for a commercial electrical company.
+ Electrical background is required.
Work Environment
The position involves overseeing construction sites, ensuring safety and compliance, and leading a team of craft workers. The role requires planning and organizing tasks and maintaining a detailed record of daily events.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charleston, SC.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $36.00 - $40.00/hr.
