About the Role

HARMAN’s diverse portfolio of businesses and customers offers interns a great opportunity to gain exposure to a wide range of projects and practices. 

What You Will Do

Assist with Mechanic engineering in CAD, specifically Creo and CATIA.Participate in ME part design and fabrication.Support concept ideas, brainstorming, and design review processCreate assembly documents to support installation of prototype partsAssist with 3D printing and post-processing of prototype parts.Assisting in the realization of customer and Harman requirements into practical design.Technical support for the industrialization of functional items in a vehicle environment.Assist in the product testing and implementation in concept cars.Work with cross-functional product development teams.Participates in automotive & technology forumsConduct mechanical design of prototype parts in an automotive environment.Run mechanical calculations

What You Need to Be Successful

Must have taken courses in Mechanical EngineeringMust have skills in CAD engineering, Creo or CATIA preferredMust have strong oral and written communication skills and be able to confidently interact with and present information to senior leaders.Must work collaboratively with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills in a global team environment

What Makes You Eligible

Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelor's Degree program at an accredited institution having completed your Sophomore year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship programMust have a cumulative 3.0 GPABe willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan.Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.Must possess unrestricted work authorization.Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employmentMust provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Freshman: $21.00
Sophomore: $23.00
Junior: $25.00
Senior: $27.00  
Master: $32.00 
Doct: $38.00

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
