About the Role

As a Marketing Intern for HARMAN Automotive, you will support the Automotive Marketing Team and gain hands-on experience through special projects designed to give you insight into a marketing career. The team is responsible for creating consistent, engaging, and thought-leading content that showcases our high-quality products and supports sales efforts to attract new customers and grow existing relationships.

What You Will Do

Create compelling content to support the Sales team, increase awareness of HARMAN products and technologies, and develop innovative programs targeting automotive industry prospects to generate leads and win new business.

Develop marketing content in multiple formats, including print, digital, video, and audio.

Write high-quality blogs, brochures, white papers, and thought leadership materials that reflect HARMAN’s brand and expertise.

Craft website copy and landing pages designed to build awareness and capture leads from target audiences.

Assist the Content Marketing team with problem-solving activities and process improvements.

Collaborate on CRM and Digital Marketing campaigns, learning how to create impactful messaging and optimize campaign performance.

Conduct and present competitive analyses of digital channels (e.g., LinkedIn, YouTube, websites) and provide insights and recommendations to enhance HARMAN Automotive’s digital presence.

Support the Experiential Events team in planning and executing customer or industry events, attending meetings to understand processes and contribute to planning.

Learn best practices for social media strategy, including planning, posting, execution, and optimization.

Gain hands-on experience with AI tools and their applications in marketing, and work on a special project leveraging AI technology.

What You Need to Be Successful

Completed coursework in Marketing, Advertising, Business Management and Communications.

A solid understanding of marketing principles, strategies, and best practices.

Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (e.g., CRM systems, social media management tools, analytics platforms).

Strong oral and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present ideas and information.

Ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships across teams.

Curiosity and willingness to learn AI applications in marketing, including tools for content generation, SEO optimization, and campaign automation.

Organizational skills and attention to detail to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.

Bonus Points if You Have

Basic proficiency in AI content creation tools and an interest in learning new technologies.

Ability to speak an additional language such as German, Chinese, Korean, or Japanese (preferred).

Global mindset with experience or willingness to collaborate with teams across different regions.

What Makes You Eligible

Must be currently enrolled in a related Bachelor's Degree program or higher at an accredited institution having completed your Freshman year or later, taking at least one class in the semester/quarter before participation in the internship program, and returning to school for at least one semester upon completion of the internship program

Must have a cumulative 3.0 GPA

Be willing to work in an office in Novi, Michigan and remotely.

Able to provide your own housing and transportation to/from work.

Must possess unrestricted work authorization.

Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment

Must provide full work availability from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026 and be able to work 40 hours per week

Pay Transparency

Freshman: $19.00

Sophomore: $21.00

Junior: $23.00

Senior: $24.00

Master: $28.00

Dependent on the internship offered, pay is based on factors, including without limitation, the applicant's level of education and business need.
