Please note: This posting is for a 4-month Student Summer 2026 placement with a start date of May 2026 and end-date of August 2026. 
 
In order to be eligible for this 4-month Student position, you must either:

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026; or

If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in April/August 2026), but you require the work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.

What is the opportunity?

We are seeking a highly motivated Summer Analyst to join our Commercial Mortgage Finance and Securitization team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the origination function for the commercial mortgage portfolio, primarily supporting the Global Asset Management and Commercial Mortgage origination teams.

The successful candidate will work closely with originators / underwriters and the closing team while supporting strategic initiatives, process improvements, and cross-functional projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a student interested in commercial real estate and banking.

What will you do?

Support day-to-day operational and transaction requirements

Assist with early transaction review, analysis, and summary

Assist with review and summary of diligence reports (appraisal, environmental, building condition)

Update and maintain databases (lease and sales comparables)

Conduct ad-hoc analysis and research to support deal pitching and execution

Support process reviews and identify opportunities for efficiency and simplification

Coordinate and track deal deliverables and timelines

Help prepare executive-ready materials, dashboards, and presentations

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, Accounting, Engineering, or a related field

Interest and curiosity in commercial real estate

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively, strategically and integrate information from multiple sources

Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to effectively summarize data / research in a concise manner

Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proven capabilities in effective management of tasks and delivering high quality work

Team player who can also work independently

Self-motivated to achieve and deliver high quality work in a timely manner

Nice-to-have

Experience in commercial real estate underwriting and financing
