In this role, you’ll be an integral part of Global Industry & Vertical Solutions Marketing — the team that serves as the strategic connector between product, sales, and customer success, translating SAS capabilities into clear customer value and fueling industry relevance, innovation, and revenue. You will gain exposure to a wide range of marketing disciplines, including market strategy, positioning and messaging, campaigns and content, digital strategy and design and more.
Industry & Vertical Solutions Marketing is responsible for the global industry marketing strategy of all the industries SAS serves, as well as the corresponding portfolio of solutions and services. This ensures that offerings target the right audience with the right messaging through the right channels to address buyer needs. Industry marketing leverages a deep understanding of buyers and their needs to identify opportunities for growth, collaborate on developing a go-to-market plan, research buyer personas, and craft messaging that helps other marketing functions generate awareness and demand. This team is a critical component of sales success, equipping account teams with the knowledge necessary to convert marketing leads into closed revenue.
We are seeking a customer-obsessed problem solver, a disruptor, and someone who is ready to make a marked improvement to how SAS shows up to customers and prospects through digital means and creative content. Must have a desire for continuous improvement, along with a restless curiosity and a natural inclination to lead.
As an IVS Marketing Intern:
You will support strategic initiatives that help shape how SAS shows up across industries — including:SAS.com Phase 3 – Industry & Solutions Modernization: You will help IVS Marketing advance Industry page modernization, integrating vertical solutions and products into clearer, more customer-aligned experiences. This includes:Improving page structure to reflect our industry strategy and value propositions.Researching and implementing generative‑engine‑optimized (GEO) content principles to increase organic search performance and time on page.Collaborating with product marketing, digital, and SEO teams to ensure accuracy and alignment with our broader IVS strategy.
Product Marketing Readiness – Demos & Screenshots: You will work closely with a lead product marketer to:Support the refresh of SAS product demos and secure updated product screenshots.Ensure assets reflect the latest innovations across industries and vertical solutions.Contribute to the content pipeline used in sales enablement and market-facing materials.
These assets directly support our charter’s mission to deliver credible, differentiated content and product readiness for global go-to-market activation.Analyze current customer personas and journey maps
Required Qualifications
You are an undergraduate student studying Marketing, Business, Communications, Digital Media, Data/Analytics, Computer Science or related field; not graduating prior to December 2026. Efficient organizational skills and ability to work independently to organize unstructured information and respond timely manner to critical work tasksProfessional writing skills and verbal communication, including keen attention to detailAbility to manage multiple tasks and work towards achieving long-term goalsYou’re curious, passionate, authentic and accountable. Pay Transparency: The hourly rate for SAS internships is determined by the applicant’s year in school and the position they are hired into. Hourly rates range from $15 – $30 for associate’s/bachelor’s level positions and $29 - $49/hour for master’s/Ph.D positions. Internship roles are not eligible for bonus.
