The Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) Technician will play a vital role in supporting field operations for subsurface utility engineering projects across South Florida, with a primary focus on TECO and gas infrastructure. This role involves locating and mapping underground utilities, collecting field data, and ensuring accurate documentation. The technician will manage multiple assignments independently each day, delivering high-quality results.

ResponsibilitiesLocate and map underground utilities across various projects.Collect and document accurate field data.Manage multiple field assignments independently on a daily basis.Ensure high-quality results in all deliverables.Essential SkillsProficiency in utility locating.Fluency in both English and Spanish.Possession of a clean driving record.Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.Self-motivation and capability to work independently.Experience in completing 4–5 projects per day.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrior experience in subsurface utility engineering.Familiarity with TECO and gas utility environments.Knowledge of traffic control and safety protocols.Experience with ground-penetrating radar and GPS technologies.Work Environment

This role is field-based with travel across South Florida, with a schedule of 8:00 AM to 4:00/5:00 PM. The position includes outdoor work under various conditions, and a company-provided truck is available for site visits. The work environment is collaborative and provides opportunities to work on significant projects from Miami Beach to Jupiter within a respected engineering firm.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Plantation, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
