The Substation Team Lead is responsible for leading the technical execution of high voltage substation projects. This role involves partnering with project managers, assigning tasks, mentoring staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality outputs. Additionally, the position supports proposal development, risk mitigation, and client engagement.
ResponsibilitiesLead the technical execution of high voltage substation projects.Partner with project managers to ensure project success.Assign tasks and mentor staff to foster professional growth.Ensure quality deliverables and support proposal development.Engage with clients to maintain and enhance relationships.Support risk mitigation strategies.Manage and lead multiple projects and teams across various locations.Essential SkillsHigh voltage substation design experience.PE license is mandatory.7-15 years of technical design experience in high voltage substation projects.Familiarity with IEEE and ANSI standards.Strong communication and organizational skills.Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD.Ability to lead teams and mentor staff.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering if strong on the physical side.Experience with physical or P&C project types.Strong leadership and multitasking abilities.Commitment to an employee-owned culture.Work EnvironmentThe role can be based out of the downtown Denver office or the Englewood/DTC office. You will work within collaborative, multi-location project teams, with the possibility of some travel (approximately 5%). Initially, more time will be spent in the office, transitioning to a flexible schedule of three days in the office and two days remote. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $62.46 - $90.87/hr.
