HDR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Substation Physical Engineering Team Lead to lead and grow our nationally ranked Power Delivery team. This technical leadership role will be responsible for knowledge and execution of the technical aspects and deliverables of projects assigned to them. This role requires a self-motivated, strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of substation physical engineering, and the ability to manage teams and projects. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of HDR’s substation practice in the North Carolina area and beyond.
Preferred Qualifications
10 years of Substation design experienceBachelor’s Degree in Electrical EngineeringExtensive experience in project execution within the Power industryPrevious staff supervision experienceSelf-starter with strong written and verbal communication skillsPrevious experience with an engineering consulting firmPrevious experience managing the commercial aspects of small to medium sized projectsExperience and client relationships in the CarolinasPrevious experience managing staff, clients, contracts and hiring staff for an engineering consulting firmLocal candidates are preferredLI-SM1Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Engineering 7 years related experience A minimum 2 years project management experience Requires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.
