HDR is seeking a dynamic and experienced Substation Business Class Manager to lead and grow our nationally ranked Power Delivery team. This management role will be focused on strategic management, team development, and operational excellence within the Substation discipline. As a key member of our NC Power Delivery management team, the Substation Business Class Manager will be responsible for:

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of HDR’s substation practice in North Carolina area and beyond.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous staff supervision experience preferredBachelor’s degree in Electrical EngineeringDesign experience with high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects of varying complexity up to 500kV, including at a minimum, conceptual knowledge of PC design and knowledge of IEEE ANSI, and other applicable design standardsExperience using industry standard design software (AutoCAD and/or MicroStation)Ability to travel, less than 10%Actively engaged in professional or industry associated to enhance HDR’s technical expertise and brandLocal candidates are preferredLI-SM1Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field 10 years of experience Committed to quality, improvement and HDR valuesMaintains a professional or engineering registration and has related technical experience
Experienced in development and management of diverse teams Works cooperatively with other area business class leaders, operations managers, technical directors and marketing managers on business class efforts An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
