Subscriptions and Services Functional Consultant
Our client is seeking a Subscriptions and Services Functional Consultant. This role is hybrid in Austin, TX or Eden Prairie, MN. This role will act within a corporate capacity within a growing and decentralized organization, therefore, exceptional relationship-building skills are required to establish strong connections with each of the five business areas, as well as functional area teams such as finance, CRM, PLM and Oracle EBS. Areas where this role will be highly engaged include: + Acting as a champion for process and design evolution; ensuring subscriptions and services offerings are flexible, yet can be scaled and enhanced to meet changing needs and evolving go-to-market strategies. + Serving as a subscriptions subject matter expert and acting as a champion for the internal and external customer experience establishing frictionless process flows that are transparent, efficient and easy to navigate. + Blueprinting subscriptions and services processes and requirements into IT systems designs and functionalities that will drive business evolution and progression to best-in-class performance; including new capabilities and/or supporting business models not currently used within the organization today + Partnering with pricing, IT, finance and business teams to ensure subscriptions and services offering are clearly and transparently communicated to customers during quoting, sales, and renewals stages of the agreement lifecycle; may also include ensuring visibility to agreements in e-commerce or other customer portals + Ensuring capabilities exist to transact and sell subscriptions and services across multiple go-to-market models, including use cases where physical items may also be sold to create a packaged solution offering + Actively engaging with cross functional stakeholders to ensure participation in proof of concept and testing activities (UAT, SIT, etc.) to ensure alignment to expectations and receipt of acceptance/validation + Performing change management activities to drive process change and adoption; creating training, performing documentation and educating/supporting the HID organization on new processes as they are rolled out + Supporting KPI, reporting and analytics development for subscriptions and services + Governance, policy development and training. This role will report directly to the Senior Director, Strategic Pricing and may be based out of Eden Prairie, Minnesota or Austin, Texas. **Duties and Responsibilities include the following.** Other duties may be assigned. + Participating in the Business Transformation Program; the Business Transformation Program involves deploying new business systems and evolving processes to drive business growth through scalable and efficient business capabilities. + Providing leadership in guiding the organization to evolve, modernize and/or enhance our subscriptions and services offerings with a focus on improving customer experience and driving revenue growth + Creating or supporting the creation of existing and future state process mappings. + Working in strong partnership with HID business areas, IT, finance and other teams to understand requirements, drive alignment and establish prioritizations + Take active or leading role in various trainings, workshops and strategy sessions established to solve business problems and elevate value capture opportunities for the organization. + Acting as a liaison between business users and technical teams + Ensuring business process and IT system evolutions are established and tested/validated/approved by key functional and business stakeholders within the organization + Support development and reporting of performance benchmarks for subscriptions and services processes evolutions. + Ability to effectively and concisely communicate information, including professional PowerPoint presentations that will be provided to senior and executive management. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. + Understand subscription design concepts: including price metric determination, packaging and segmentation and up-sell/cross-sell + Familiarity with subscription and recurring revenue billing models, including pay-in-advance, pay-per-use, and other charge models. + Solid understanding of lead-to-order and order-to-cash processes and how they relate to subscriptions and services + Familiarity with customer success models, such as L.A.E.R. and supporting strategies for customer adoption and retention + Experience with solutions selling concepts, including guided selling and proposal creation. + Understanding of common subscriptions revenue and customer metrics such as ARR, MRR, ACV, churn, etc. + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate across a large, matrixed international organization. + Ability to be a strategic, forward thinker who also possesses excellent process management skills. + Good communication skills, attention to details, good planning skills and consistency are equally essential to succeed in this role. + Big picture thinking and the ability to sell “change” and “a better future” to the organization. **Education and/or Experience** + 7+ years of professional work experience desired. + 4+ years of cumulative experience with subscriptions and services within the areas of pricing, product management, or IT, preferably in a B2B environment, desired. + Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, finance, economics, or IT desired. A combination of education and experience may be considered. + 2+ years of experience with subscriptions establishment in Oracle Fusion subscriptions module desired + 2+ years of experience with subscriptions metrics KPIs establishment and/or usage within analytics tools (Oracle Analytics Cloud, Tableau, PowerBI, etc.) desired + 2+ years experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM system desired. + Certification in SAFe methodology or equivalent is meriting + Project management experience and certifications meriting. + People management experience meriting.
