Subject Matter Expert (SME) Analysts - Procurement
**A Snapshot of Your Day** In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring the Orlando Blades and Vanes procurement team has access to the data, reports, and automation processes they need to keep the business running smoothly. Using your understanding of both data principles and business needs, you will serve as the bridge between the data science team and the business staff. You will work on a wide range of data-related tasks including proposing new reporting solutions, working with business staff to define and communicate their needs, collaborating with the data science team on solution development, validating data output, providing training and assistance to business staff, and helping to drive data projects forward generally. To be successful in this role, you will need to be adaptable, collaborative, and able to communicate technical concepts in a way that is accessible to a diverse audience. **How You’ll Make an Impact** + Collaborate with businessstaff in blades and vanes operative procurement, commodity strategy, andsupplier quality to define project requirements and when appropriate developproof-of-concept projects or help build interim solutions to timely data needsfor the business. + Communicate the needs ofthe Orlando procurement team to your data science colleagues and work with thedata science team to make sure business needs are met through collection ofrigorous feedback and facilitation of user testing protocols. + Proactively seek out stafffeedback on existing data tools and propose areas for improvement. + Ensure data accuracy andconsistency through output validation and correction. Helping to identify ordocument bugs and errors in production BI and advanced analytics tools. + Assist the data scienceteam in updating existing data dashboards, troubleshooting legacy excel files,and other miscellaneous data tasks. + Prepare and deliver formalinternal trainings to support business staff, engage in informal upskillingefforts, and promote a data-driven culture across the Orlando-based blades andvanes procurement business units. **What You Bring** + Bachelors degree orequivalent experience in data analytics or other field of study with a strongdata focus (e.g., Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Business with dataemphasis, Engineering, etc.) + 1+ years of experiencecompleting data-based work in a business context. + Ability to collaborateeffectively with both technical and non-technical staff to solve problems.Comfort working in an international and multi-cultural working environment. + Familiarity and entry-levelproficiency with data analytics concepts, supply-chain management data, andcommon data analytics application tools and/or programming languages (e.g.PowerBI, Alteryx, Snowflake, SQL, Python, R, Excel, SAP). + Previous experience in gasturbine procurement, strategic planning, and/or quality assurance is a plus! + Applicants must be legallyauthorized for employment in the United States without need for current orfuture employer-sponsored work authorization.
