Subcontracts Administrator

Specifically, this role will be supporting the Marine Corps’ Maritime Prepositioning Force (MPF) and Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP), who have been operationally invaluable in supporting our Nation’s interests across the world. Located at the Marine Corps Support Facility Blount Island in Jacksonville, Florida, the program ensures that combat-ready equipment and supplies are pre-positioned to support rapid deployment and sustainment of Marine forces worldwide. Job Summary The Subcontracts Administrator plays a crucial role in managing all procurement and administrative activities related to subcontracting. The administrator will oversee the full range of procurement and subcontract management, from pre-award activities through close-out. Under general supervision, this role will require problem-solving skills, industry knowledge, and the ability to navigate both field and best practices in subcontract administration. **This role will be onsite the Blount Island military installation in Jacksonville, FL Roles and Responsibilities + Effectively manage the subcontracts lifecycle as associated with procurement activity. + Issue requests for proposals, evaluate proposals, and qualify suppliers. + Maintain accurate subcontract files in compliance with established procedures. + Utilize problem-solving skills and industry knowledge to steer best practices for the group. + Display expertise within the subcontracting focus and seek continuous improvement within both processes and individual skills. Basic Qualifications + Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience. + At least 2+ years of experience in subcontract administration or related procurement activities. + Strong understanding of procurement processes, proposal evaluation, and subcontract management. + Excellent negotiation and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications + Previous experience working with government contracts and their compliance requirements. + Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. + Familiarity with subcontractor claims resolution. + Experience using procurement software or contract management systems.
