Job DescriptionAutomated Production Control (APC) environment utilizing the ROSS overdrive automated production control systemResponsible for the ultimate technical quality of productionsRobotic camera control system operationVideo clip playback server operationStage Managing: Direction of talent and other production crew membersCamera operation to include studio build-up, jib, handheld, etc.Works in conjunction with editorial and production personnel to execute newscasts utilizing an automated production control system.Additional duties as needed/assigned

Qualifications

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to handle objects, tools or controls. Employee frequently is required to stand and talk or hear and occasionally is required to walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities include close and color vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

Degree in communications and/or equivalent work experience3+ years of live studio television production experience1+ year solid, medium to large sized market, local news TD/ Directing experience with Ross Overdrive Production Automation, or similarMust have  the ability to perform multiple technical responsibilities simultaneously while maintaining a high level of execution and reliabilityExperience with advanced production switcher operation and setup; manual and automated graphics play out; playback server operations; robotic, jib & studio camera operation; stage managingMust have strong oral /written communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to work accurately under pressure and deadlinesMust be willing to work a regular schedule that will include days, nights, late nights, weekends, and holidays, with occasional over timeMust have a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and leadership qualities a mustMust have a valid driver’s license    Must be willing to join IBEW Local 98
