Job Title Student Life Center Lifeguard - 2025-2026 Academic Year Department Campus Recreation Office Job Description/Duties SLC Lifeguards are responsible for the safe and effective day-to-day operation of the Student Life Center pool, locker rooms, and deck area. Guards are required to enforce facility policy, rules and regulations to prevent accident and implement emergency action plans as needed. Guards will also be responsible for the safe and effective operation of Physical Education courses at the Park Center Holsten Pool, locker rooms, and pool deck. Days/Hours Needed Various 2-hour shifts available 7-days/week Campus Location/Bldg. Student Life Center & Park Center Required Qualifications Must be a current SUNY Cortland student Valid Lifeguard, CPR, AED, First Aid with CPR completed within the last year Must hold certification in Cortland County Approved Lifeguard Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Special Conditions for Eligibility Contact Name(s) & Email(s) Scott Flickinger, Director of Campus Recreation
