Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Lean Manufacturing Summer Intern to support our continuous improvement initiatives. The intern will work closely with our operations and engineering teams to analyze workflows, identify inefficiencies, and implement Lean principles to optimize production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in identifying and analyzing production inefficiencies using Lean Manufacturing tools (e.g., Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Kaizen, SMED)Support continuous improvement projects aimed at reducing waste and improving process flowCollect and analyze data to measure process performance and recommend improvementsParticipate in Lean training sessions and contribute to team problem-solving initiativesAssist in the implementation of 5S workplace organization and visual management systemsWork with cross-functional teams to drive productivity and efficiency improvementsDocument findings, create reports, and present recommendations to leadershipQualificationsCurrently pursuing a degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or a related fieldBasic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles (preferred, but not required)Strong analytical and problem-solving skillsProficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides)Ability to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent communication and organizational skillsAdditional InformationTerm: Monday, May 4, 2026 to Friday, August 28, 2026
Pay rate: $20 to $22.50 per hour
