Job Title: Structures Mechanic - Helicopters - Medford/Central Point, Oregon

Job Description

Join our team as a Structures Mechanic, where you will play a crucial role in the heavy maintenance and refurbishment of heavy-lift commercial helicopters (S64). You will utilize blueprints to perform repairs, including riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal, and installing structural components. Mechanics will be assigned tasks based on their abilities, focusing on either fabrication or installation.

ResponsibilitiesPerform heavy maintenance and build-up/refurbishment of heavy-lift commercial operations helicopters.Utilize blueprints to guide repair processes including riveting, countersinking, bending, and cutting sheet metal.Install structural components and perform sheet metal repairs.Fabricate components if assigned based on abilities.Essential SkillsExperience with structures, sheet metal, and aircraft repair.Proficiency in helicopter and aviation mechanics.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Skill in sheet metal repair and aircraft sheet metal work.Competence in riveting, cutting, bending, countersinking, and installing sheet metal.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfort with performing a Structures test on or before the first day, including tasks like riveting and bending.Possession of basic hand tools.A&P certification is preferred but not required.4+ years of MRO experience for at least two mechanics.Why Work Here?

Work Environment

Work in aircraft hangar and shop areas located in Medford, OR, and Central Point, OR. Access a very advanced electronic tool crib equipped with a wide range of tools. The work shift is from Monday to Thursday, 6 AM - 4 PM and Friday, 6 AM - 2:30 PM, with potential transition to a 3 PM - 2 AM shift after three months. Be prepared to work in a civilian and military shop hangar setting.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of CENTRAL POINT, Oregon.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $42.00 - $52.00/hr.
