Structural Welder (Pulse Arc) $45/hr 140/day in per diem
Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Welder with expertise in Pulse Arc welding for a challenging and rewarding role. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in naval shipyard environments and be proficient in multiple welding techniques.
Responsibilities
Perform multi-pass, all position fillet and butt welds using SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P processes.Work in physically demanding environments, including shipboard, sub-assemblies, ladders, and staging.Ensure adherence to OSHA regulations relevant to the shipbuilding industry.Utilize air carbon arc gouging techniques.Accurately use fillet and butt weld gauges.Essential Skills
Four years of experience in NNS or naval shipyard as a first-class welder.Proficiency in SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and GMAW-P welding techniques.Experience working in physically demanding environments.Familiarity with OSHA regulations in shipbuilding.Ability to pass all-position, multi-pass butt weld, and welder qualification tests according to MIL-STD-248D.Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Air Carbon Arc Gouging.Proficiency in various welding positions including horizontal (2G), vertical (3G), and overhead (4G).Why Work Here?

Work Environment
The role requires working in confined spaces on board naval ships and in a shop environment. Candidates must be capable of climbing ladders and stairs and performing tasks in a physically demanding setting.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Houston, TX.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $45.00/hr.
