Currently hiring welders at the South Carolina HII Shop location as well as the Shipyard in VA

$45 an hour

Job Description

Engage in welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies, ensuring adherence to required tolerances using appropriate welding metals and metal alloys. Interpret and execute layouts and welding procedures based on engineering drawings and specifications. Monitor and verify quality in compliance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Responsibilities

Perform welding processes on aluminum and steel parts and assemblies to required tolerances.Determine layouts and weld parts and assemblies according to engineering drawings and specifications.Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Essential Skills

Proficiency in blueprint reading.Expertise in welding techniques including pulse arc and MIG.Ability to perform fabrication and flux core welding.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with layouts, blueprints, and drawings.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $29.56 - $46.00/hr.
