Title: Structural Welder
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Structural Welder to join our construction team for high-profile structural steel projects across the Los Angeles area and the surrounding areas. The ideal candidate will possess a current Los Angeles City Welding Certification and demonstrate expertise in welding structural components to precise specifications. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and safety of steel frameworks in commercial, industrial, and infrastructure builds.
Job Description:
Perform structural welding on steel beams, columns, braces, and other components per engineering drawings and specificationsOperate welding equipment including SMAW, FCAW, and MIG processes with precision and safetyRead and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and construction documentsConduct visual and mechanical inspections of welds to ensure compliance with code and project standardsCollaborate with foremen, engineers, and other trades to maintain workflow and resolve field issuesAdhere strictly to safety protocols, OSHA regulations, and company policiesMaintain welding equipment and tools in optimal working conditionAssist in rigging, fitting, and positioning of steel members prior to weldingQualifications:
Valid LA City Welding Certification (Structural Steel – D1.1 or equivalent) requiredMinimum 3 years of experience in structural welding within the construction industryProficiency in welding processes including SMAW and FCAWAbility to pass weld tests and inspections as required by project specificationsStrong understanding of structural codes, safety standards, and blueprint readingPhysical ability to lift heavy materials, work at heights, and perform tasks in various weather conditionsReliable transportation and willingness to travel to job sites across the LA areaPreferred Skills:
AWS Certification (D1.1 or D1.5)Experience with high-rise, bridge, or infrastructure projectsFamiliarity with robotic or automated welding systemsBilingual (English/Spanish) a plusPay and Shift:
The pay will range anywhere from $23-38/hr depending on skill levelThe position will primarily be located in LA but can require some travel to the surround areas such as the OC, East of LA, and up to the Woodland Hills area.Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr.
