Description of Job This position serves as the primary facilities support role for the Fremont Campus, responsible for day-to-day maintenance, building and grounds upkeep, preventative maintenance coordination with vendors, and purchasing necessary supplies and equipment. The role supervises student employees and temporary workers and manages campus event set-up and tear-down. Work is performed efficiently through effective communication with students, faculty, staff, and the public, in compliance with college regulations and in support of overall campus operations. Job Duties + Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving maintenance issues across campus buildings, grounds, and parking areas. + Perform skilled trades work including framing, drywall, texturing, painting, flooring repair/replacement, lighting maintenance, and general building repairs. + Oversee preventative maintenance and repairs of mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems, including coordination with vendors and contractors. + Maintain campus grounds, parking lots, breezeways, and outdoor facilities to ensure a clean, safe, and professional environment in all weather conditions. + Plan, coordinate, and execute event set-up and tear-down, including staging, furniture placement, signage, banners, and AV/sound equipment in alignment with customer specifications. + Supervise and train student employees, temporary staff, community service workers, and volunteers; assign daily tasks and monitor work quality and deadlines. + Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and supplies; maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper equipment tagging in accordance with fiscal policies. + Oversee maintenance of campus fleet vehicles and report monthly mileage totals. + Support campus safety initiatives, including emergency lockdown procedures, hazard identification, and collaboration with campus security. + Ensure compliance with institutional and regulatory requirements by coordinating required inspections (fire extinguishers, generators, security systems, backflow prevention, annual fire inspections, etc.). + Manage key control systems, sustainability efforts, regulated waste disposal (including recyclables and sharps), and classroom climate control monitoring. + Participate in strategy meetings and provide regular facilities and grounds updates to campus leadership. + Perform all duties in compliance with college policies and institutional standards.
