Job Description
In a team-oriented work environment, you will perform a variety of structural assembly operations in a production department under moderate supervision. You will be responsible for assembling and fitting detail parts and structures, performing varied drilling and riveting operations, and ensuring parts and assemblies meet requirements. You will use tools such as portable riveting guns, pneumatic guns, pneumatic drills, counter sinks, rivet shavers, files, reamers, and rivets.
ResponsibilitiesPerform assembly and fitting of detail parts and structures.Conduct varied drilling and riveting operations.Ensure parts and assembly meet specified requirements.Rivet structural assemblies and parts using necessary tools.Read work orders, blueprints, lofts, sketches, and operation sheets to determine sequence of operations and rivet patterns.Check all work to ensure defect-free assembly prior to final inspection.Maintain and use logs and records such as MIR sheets, DMTs, Crabs, PCOs.Align and assemble parts to be riveted using jigs, holding fixtures, pins, clamps, and fasteners.Maintain a neat and orderly work area, support the company 5S Program, and comply with all safety regulations.Work under moderate supervision.Support Lean Activities.Essential SkillsProficiency in structural assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Experience in riveting, drilling, and countersinking.Familiarity with automotive repair, diesel repair, heavy wheeled vehicles, tractor repair, and sheet metal.Additional Skills & QualificationsComfortable working in tight confined spaces.Must pass an online skills assessment test (approximately 30-45 minutes).Why Work Here?

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Savannah, Georgia.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $21.21 - $25.66/hr.
