Job Title: Structural EngineerJob Description The Structural Engineer will oversee the creation of 3D models and detail drawings in Risa 3D based on customer-provided designs. Occasionally, the candidate will work in Solidworks to coordinate and oversee technical drawings with the Mechanical Design Engineer on their team. Projects typically include steel platforms, stairs, towers, foundations, skids, tanks, and drag chains in industries such as Telecommunications, Transportation, Wastewater, and Oil & Gas. This position does not include management responsibilities. Responsibilities + Oversee the creation of 3D models and detail drawings using Risa 3D. + Collaborate with the Mechanical Design Engineer to ensure technical drawing accuracy. + Ensure compliance with ANSI, EIA/TIA, and ASSHTO standards. + Coordinate and oversee design processes for various structural projects. + Prepare basic engineering requirements and foundational design data. + Monitor project scopes and schedules to ensure timely delivery. + Coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, project teams, engineering departments, vendors, and subcontractors. + Issue drawings, specifications, and purchase orders, ensuring timely receipt of information from clients and process licensors. Essential Skills + Minimum of 6+ years of experience as a Structural Engineer. + Proficiency in RISA 3D, FEA, and Hand Calculations. + Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering. + Advanced knowledge of engineering technologies, codes, and standards. + Experience with project lifecycle management. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in Solidworks and STADD Pro is advantageous. + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. + Proven ability to lead and manage multidisciplinary teams. + Experience with software such as tnxTower, Helicap, Lpile, Mathcad. Work Environment The candidate will work in an office environment alongside a team of engineers, including a Senior Structural Engineer. They will receive mentorship from Senior team members. All personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided. The work schedule is flexible with core hours from 9 AM to 3 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Houston, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $55.00/hr.
