Structural Designer
Job Title: Structural DesignerJob Description

We are actively seeking a structural designer eager to embark on a journey of professional growth within the diverse field of structural engineering. This position offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects across the United States, with scopes ranging from $10 million to $250 million, including challenging urban and green sites. Our designs frequently encompass high-rise concrete and steel, historic renovation/restoration, seismic design, mid-rise cold-formed steel, post-tension slabs, deep foundations, pre-cast elements, and conventional wood framing.

ResponsibilitiesPrepare complete and comprehensive designs and detailed drawings at each phase of the project under the direction of the lead project structural engineer, in coordination with other structural team members and disciplines on assigned projects.Complete work in a timely manner on assigned projects within the scheduled hours.Maintain a free flow of communication with the structural engineering staff and other team members relative to the activities on assigned projects.Essential SkillsExperience with wood, concrete, masonry, and steel design.Proficiency with REVIT.Knowledge of structural systems.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with structural design software such as Risa 3D, ETABS.Experience with BIM modeling.Must not have bridge or horizontal experience.Work Environment

The work environment is open and collaborative, leveraging virtual technology to communicate between offices and disciplines. The D.C. office comprises 50 employees, including roughly 20 structural engineers. This role offers a hybrid work schedule with three days in the office and two days remote. However, entry-level candidates are expected to work in the office to gain necessary development. You will receive mentorship and training in Revit, along with a mentor in other disciplines. The position guarantees 40 hours of work, with 3 weeks of vacation and 8 paid holidays.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Washington, DC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/hr.
