Job Description
We are seeking a talented Structural Design Engineer with expertise in heavy foundation and structural steel design. This role involves designing pipe racks, understanding loads, and contributing to structural and civil design projects for nuclear power plants. The projects often involve small structures and foundations for tanks.
Responsibilities
Design heavy foundations and structural steel components for power plants.Develop structural and civil designs for nuclear power plants.Conduct structural calculations and design studies.Create and review engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings.Review relevant codes, design documents, and construction documents to support project development.Prepare engineering designs and drawings in accordance with project specifications, budgets, and schedules.Collaborate with multi-discipline engineers and designers to ensure project success.Essential Skills
8+ years of structural engineering experience, particularly in nuclear civil/structural design.Proficiency in structural engineering, civil engineering, and structural design.Experience with industry-standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, ANSYS, and Mathcad.Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members.Additional Skills & Qualifications
B.S. in Civil Engineering with a Structural focus.Experience with seismic analysis and design for nuclear power plants.Experience with AutoDesk Advance Steel.Professional Engineering (PE) license in any US state, with the ability to obtain additional licenses through comity.Work Environment
This position offers a hybrid schedule with opportunities to work on-site in Mt Laurel or fully remote. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $45.00 - $65.00/hr.
