Here's What You Need * Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required * Master's Degree in Nursing preferred * 3 years of experience in MedSurg, Emergency or Critical Care required * 3 years of experience in Critical Care experience preferred * RN - Registered Nurse upon hire required and * BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required and * NIHSS - National Institute of Health Stroke Scale Certification 60 Days required * SCRN - Stroke Certified Registered Nurse upon hire preferred What You Will Do * Facilitate the linkage between strategic business lines and provision of an effective and efficient Stroke Program. * Maintain current knowledge of clinical practice in care of stroke patients. * Review implementation of stroke order protocols and follows up as needed to ensure compliance. * Utilize current research and evidence-based standards of practice to develop, analyze and coordinate a comprehensive plan of patient education activities, including goals assessment, planning, implementation, needed resources and evaluation methods to support improved patient outcomes. * Collect date and assist in the implementation of practice changes as needed, participates in the analysis of data. * Coordinates and facilitates provision of educational opportunities for staff, physicians, patients, external providers of care including EMS, and the community.
