Stroke Care Programme Specialist

**The Position**
Join our team in Kuala Lumpur and help drive impactful improvements in acute stroke care, making a real difference in the lives of stroke patients. This role provides the opportunity to work closely with hospitals and emergency medical services (EMS) nationwide to elevate stroke readiness, improve treatment quality, and drive measurable impact through the Angels Initiative (ANGELS), which is a global healthcare initiative, under Boehringer Ingelheim's Sustainable Development for Generations (SD4G) framework.
**Tasks & Responsibilities**
+ Support stroke care improvement efforts in assigned territory by applying structured tools such as gap analysis, checklists, educational resources, simulations, and community‑focused activities
+ Build and maintain strong relationships with multidisciplinary hospital stroke team and EMS stakeholders to foster continuous collaboration, knowledge exchange, and sustained engagement in improving stroke care practices
+ Coordinate and deliver capability‑building activities, including educational workshops, simulation sessions, multidisciplinary meetings, and other training initiatives that enhance hospital and EMS teams’ skills and readiness in stroke care delivery
+ Support new hospitals in establishing stroke services by guiding them through the setup process, including stroke protocols and foundational requirements for delivering organized stroke care
+ Assist existing stroke hospitals in reviewing and optimizing their stroke care workflows by gathering relevant information, identifying improvement opportunities, recommending practical enhancements to strengthen preparedness and treatment pathways
+ Maintain accurate and organized documentation including hospital profiles, activity summaries, reports and materials, ensuring timely and reliable administrative follow‑through
+ Demonstrate full adherence to local regulations, industry standards, and company compliance policies; promote a culture of ethical conduct and responsible interactions with healthcare professionals
**About Our Future Employee**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Pharmacy, Allied Health, Public Health, or related field
+ Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical or medical device industries, hospital operations, healthcare programme implementation, or medical stakeholder engagement.
+ Understanding of stroke care treatment pathways and related clinical practices
+ Experience coordinating multidisciplinary healthcare initiatives and conducting gap analyses or simulation training
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills for both clinical and community engagement
+ Proven ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals and diverse stakeholders across hospital and EMS settings
+ Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and timeline tracking
+ Ability to think strategically, identify challenges proactively, and implement effective solutions in collaboration with hospital teams
