Job Summary:
Are you ready to lead digital strategy and drive end‑to‑end transformation? At Caterpillar, we’re seeking a digital‑savvy, consulting‑minded leader to build and execute an enterprise‑wide digital strategy for the Integrated Components Division (ICD).
ICD plays a critical role in Caterpillar’s refreshed enterprise strategy—designing and manufacturing key components across a global footprint. In this role, you’ll define ICD’s digital vision, build the roadmap, stand up the team, and deliver measurable impact across the organization.
You’ll lead global strategic initiatives, standardize analytics and reporting, and pilot emerging technologies through POCs—scaling successful solutions enterprise‑wide. This high‑visibility role requires strong executive presence and the ability to influence senior leaders and cross‑functional teams.
What You Will Do:
Own the Digital Strategy: Build and execute ICD’s digital roadmap with measurable business outcomes.Drive Strategic Execution: Roll out initiatives that support Caterpillar’s 2030 targets.Develop the Tech Stack: Define and deploy the core digital platforms and tools.Measure What Matters: Establish KPIs, dashboards, and data‑driven reporting for leadership.Lead Industry 5.0 & Emerging Tech: Shape Caterpillar’s Industry 5.0 framework and scale AI/ML, digital twins, automation, and next‑gen technologies.Manage Risks: Anticipate challenges and keep programs on track.Optimize Resources: Support budgeting and resource allocation to maximize impact.Education requirement:
Candidates should possess a relevant degree or demonstrate equivalent knowledge through professional expertise.
What skills you will have:
Strategic Thinking: Experience shaping business and digital strategy, including assessing technology trends and translating them into actionable roadmaps. Ability to connect enterprise‑wide strategy with digital transformation initiatives and ensure measurable business outcomes. Experience collaborating across diverse teams to drive aligned, enterprise‑level decision‑making.
Decision Making and Critical Thinking: Strong consulting mindset with the ability to diagnose business problems, frame strategic recommendations, and guide stakeholders through complex decisions. Skilled at simplifying the complex—turning data, market trends, and technical inputs into clear, strategic insights that influence senior leaders.
Data Gathering & Analysis: Ability to leverage data analytics, BI tools, data visualization platforms, and modeling techniques to support business case development and strategic recommendations. Skilled in managing cross‑functional project timelines, budgets, and resources while driving digital execution.
Customer Focus: Understanding of global markets, customer pain points, and emerging digital opportunities. Ability to apply customer‑centric thinking to prioritize digital features, automation opportunities, or analytical enhancements that drive value in an international business environment.
Top candidates will also have:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business, Strategy, or an MBA.Consulting experience, preferably in digital strategy, enterprise transformation, strategy execution, automation, or robotics.Experience leading digital initiatives at an enterprise level.Hands‑on experience with data analytics, BI tools, and data visualization technologies.Exposure to digital twins, simulation, AI/ML, and emerging physical‑AI technologies.A strong, well‑formed perspective on how AI can transform a heavy‑industry organization like Caterpillar.Experience partnering with technical teams to build and execute technology or platform roadmaps.Experience managing and influencing cross‑functional teams across operations, engineering, digital, and analytics.Background in automation, lean methodologies, or robotics.Additional Information:
This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Dallas, TX office. Additional office locations may be available.

Summary Pay Range:
$159,120.00 - $238,680.00Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
