SUMMARY: The function of this position is to be responsible for supporting the company’s end-to-end sourcing of products and services essential for the overall operations. The Strategic Sourcing Specialist supports the development and execution of sourcing strategies to optimize cost, quality, service, and risk for assigned categories. This role will prioritize efforts in regard to supporting the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing to identify and select potential suppliers through solicitation efforts. Negotiating, in partnership with leader, where necessary resulting in rewarding contracts to support the Companies strategic initiatives. In addition to, maintaining current vendor relationships, supplier research, assist with supplier process audits, RFx Events, negotiating pricing, contracts, payment terms, etc. Embraces and executes the Company Core Values and actively supports the Company’s vision and goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Includes the following; other duties will be assigned in a progressive manner.
• Support all of the sourcing management goals of the company and action items to ensure that those goals are achieved.
• In partnership with the leader, participate in negotiations for best possible cost service guarantee and develop “win- win” strategies that achieve sustainable relationships with suppliers.
• Evaluate supplier core competencies and competitive positioning using industry cost models and total cost of ownership (TCO) analysis.
• Implement supplier agreements/contracts when beneficial by working with cross-functional stakeholders and suppliers to reach agreement on contract terms and conditions.
• Research and anticipate shifts in the negotiating power of suppliers.
• In partnership with the leader, analyze industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify supply base issues to minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and utilize emerging opportunities.
• Maintain and develop supplier relationships (trade shows, supplier meetings, conferences, etc.) and support/lead quarterly business reviews (QBRs) and performance scorecards.
• Support the supplier management program by monitoring supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, responsiveness, cost) and coordinating corrective actions as needed.
• Support the continual improvement processes throughout the operational organization in partnership with leader including standardization, supplier consolidation, and process/tool improvements.
• Establishes purchasing policies and procedures in partnership with the leader. Create a sustainable continual improvement and internal control process supporting the established procedures.
• Support the sourcing and supplier selection strategy domestically and internationally including supplier research, qualification/onboarding, and competitive RFx events (RFI/RFP/RFQ).
• Follows environmental and safety regulations and acts in compliance with US laws.
• Complies with safety and corporate guidelines on business.
• Track, document, and report sourcing activities and savings/value delivered (hard/soft savings), contract
compliance, and key procurement metrics.
• Support risk management activities (financial/operational/regulatory/cyber as applicable) to reduce supply disruption and improve supplier resiliency.
• Maintain accurate supplier records, contracts, and sourcing documentation in procurement/ERP systems to ensure data integrity and transparency.
SUPERVISORY SKILLS: No direct reports.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: 5+ Experience in field / related field, and/or a combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: None Required.
