Position Responsibilities:
Procure goods and services essential for business operations, negotiate with suppliers to ensure quality, service, and pricing, determines optimal value and process improvements, and manage relationships with internal and external customers and vendors, as the Strategic Sourcing Manager
Manage supplier relationships for materials forecasting, communications, resource management, contract performance, and issue resolution
Lead initiatives for manufacturing changes and efficiency improvements to enhance operational performance
Collaborate with customers and vendors to boost supply chain efficiency and effectiveness
Negotiate and manage short and long-term contracts to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply while ensuring compliance
Identify material supply risks and seek additional sourcing opportunities for new suppliers
Serve as a subject matter expert in Strategic Sourcing, maintaining in-depth knowledge of the industry and managing a team where applicable
Other duties as assigned
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree with 6 plus years of related experience in Procurement and 3 plus years of management experience or High School Diploma/General Education Degree (GED) with 9 plus years of specific experience and 4 plus years of management experience
Preferred Education and Experience:
Master’s Degree
