JOB SUMMARY:
A Strategic Sourcing professional is well-versed in strategic supply chain principles and contributes to the development of supply chain strategies that align with company and department goals. Through reading, understanding, and interpreting supplier contracts, a Strategic Sourcing professional can negotiate and manage long-term pricing agreements. This position will also analyze financial aspects of contracts, make cost comparisons, and use pricing formulas. Keeps contracts up-to-date and follow all laws, company rules, and good business practices.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Knowledgeable in strategic supply chain principles and provides input into supply chain strategies supporting company/department objectives.
· Maintains and supports timely control of amendments, SOW changes, extensions, and other required documentation to ensure orderly administration and retention of records.
· Complies with all public law requirements as well as company (and business) policies and procedures, import/export regulations, and employs sound business practice.
· Possesses financial analytical skills necessary to review contractual agreements, perform cost comparisons.
· Demonstrates negotiation skills necessary to secure price, delivery schedule, terms conditions for Pricing Agreements (PAs) and long term supply agreements (LTAs).
· Read and interpret supplier agreements/contracts.
· Initiates and releases purchase orders and subcontract P.O.s in M2M and Ariba. Reviews receiving reports to determine status and follow-ups on supplier commitments to assure contract and P.O. compliance.
· Initiate new supplier setup, NDAs, and validate supplier qualifications within company policies and procedures. Issues of RFPs as needed to support new products.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree required in Supply Chain Management, Business, Economics, or related field
· Minimum of 2 years’ relevant experience required
· In lieu of degree, minimum 6 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing or another related field.
· Aviation Supply Chain contracts experience preferred
