As a Strategic Risk Consultant, you’ll partner closely with Members of the Local Government Association Mutual Liability Scheme (LGAMLS) throughout South Australia.  Together, you’ll tailor risk management solutions that promote robust decision making and achievement of their strategic objectives. You’ll also have the chance to lead or contribute to projects that support improved risk awareness and mitigation across the Local Government sector.  Joining a high-performing team with extensive expertise in risk and Local Government, you’ll be encouraged and supported by your colleagues to deliver outstanding service to our clients.

This role is based in Adelaide and offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with a minimum three days per week in the office or at client sites, and the option to work from home for up to two days.

We will count on you to:

Collaborate with the LGAMLS and their Members to develop and implement enterprise risk management solutions that truly make a difference.Actively contribute to delivery of LGAMLS programs that improve risk awareness and support the Local Government sector to manage risks more effectively.Analyse and interpret data to gain insights into the risk profile, maturity and culture of LGAMLS Members and recommend programs that support continuous improvement.Build positive relationships with clients and deliver high quality outcomes to create opportunities for future growth.Travel safely to LGAMLS Member sites across South Australia to deliver training and workshops and attend regional forums.

What you need to have: 

Experience in a risk management or strategic role.Familiarity with risk management principles and processes.Local Government experience is desirable but not essential.A genuine commitment to delivering outstanding client service and embracing continuous improvement.Excellent project management skills.South Australian “C” Class drivers’ licence (or equivalent)Willingness and ability to travel safely within South Australia.
