About the Role Uber is seeking a Strategic Operations Manager to shape and drive the Taxi strategy for the German market. This role will focus on setting the long-term direction for Taxi, turning strategic priorities into high-impact outcomes, and accelerating growth across the platform. As the Taxi Lead, you’ll work cross-functionally and with external partners to influence how Taxi is integrated into Uber’s broader mobility offering and deliver meaningful impact for riders, drivers, and cities across Germany. **Germany Country Manager Team** The Germany Country Manager team shapes and executes the strategy for Uber’s Star market Germany. The team is responsible for strategically evaluating, shaping, and implementing new market initiatives, while setting the direction for how Uber grows and evolves in Germany. Working across functions and with senior leadership, the team drives high-impact decisions that influence performance across cities and shape the future of mobility in the German market. **What You'll Do** 1\. Develop and drive the Taxi strategy for the German market 2\. Identify, launch and scale Taxi enablement products and initiatives 3\. Improve and expand partnerships with local Taxi dispatchers and companies **What You'll Need** 1\. 3+ years of experience in technology/consulting/or other fast-paced operational environments. 2\. Project management skills: You have a proven understanding of the project management fundamentals, and can implement cross-functional projects. You are process driven & can convert ambiguous business requirements into structured business processes with standard operating procedures. 3\. Strong analytics skills: you are able to analyze the performance of your initiatives and derive data-based recommendations for improvement 4\. See the forest & trees: Ability to think strategically and operationally, delivering the day to day while defining and leading the future direction. Ability to translate strategies into detailed execution plans and to take them to its desired outcomes 5\. Strategic Approach: You are comfortable in the detail, but are also able to see the bigger picture and pivot strategically as the environment around you changes 6\. Good communication and collaboration skills: You are good at working with diverse teams, understanding different perspectives and building solutions together 7\. German fluency **Bonus Points If** 1\. SQL knowledge preferred (and if not, must possess an aptitude to learn quickly as it will quickly form part of your day-to-day activity) 2\. Mobility Tech tool knowhow preferred (e.g. Forge, Flipr, Flow, Querybuilder) 3\. Best if a candidate brings a good understanding of Ops-related processes wrt Compliance, CRM, Prod/ Eng **Key projects** 1\. Define the taxi coalesce strategy for Germany across cities and products 2\. Roll-out coalesce M1 solution to UberX products in relevant cities across Germany 3\. Expand coalesce M1 solution to non-core product (e.g. Electric, Women Driver, etc.) across relevant cities 4\. Define the launch strategy of the taxi coalesce product M2 and launch across Germany 5\.
