Strategic Category Analyst, Global Corporate Procurement
Description The Strategic Category Analyst will own project and data analysis leadership in support of: indirect spend analytics and strategic sourcing pipeline development; global leadership and team reporting dashboards; and supply market intelligence and benchmarks analysis. Categories spanning: Marketing, Professional Services, Software and Technology, HR, Travel, Temp Labor, Construction, and Facilities. Key job responsibilities • Conduct category spend analysis utilizing data from Amazon’s spend analytics cube and external market data. • Project manage across global sourcing teams to build and maintain a robust pipeline of recommended strategic sourcing projects. • Create robust global dashboards to provide insights and recommendations to improve, standardize, simplify, and drive strategy in the organization. • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on procurement data, tools, and processes. About the team The role is part of Analytic and Excellence Drivers (AED) team that is embedded in Global Corporate Procurement. The AED team has a strong bias for decision-making rooted in data and analytics. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of a team that is having a daily impact on company success. This team will develop innovative data solutions to solve complex or ambiguous problems and scale for long-term impact. Basic Qualifications - Demonstrated business analytics experience - Strong knowledge of data visualization tools (i.e., QuickSight, Tableau, or Power BI) - Knowledge of SQL, Excel Macros, VBAs Preferred Qualifications - Bachelor’s Degree. - Strategic sourcing experience, preferably including Indirect procurement at a multinational corporation with global contracts. - Strong analytical skills and business acumen including the ability to distill, synthesize, and draw conclusions from large amounts of data. - Strong project leadership skills, including the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization and time management - In-depth understanding of complex transformation within spreadsheets containing large dataset. - Strong project leadership skills, including the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization and time management. - Knowledge of ETL process, and scripting language such as Python Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
